* "Liberal Christians"

 There are a lot of people out there who refer to themselves as "liberal Christians". These people are some of the biggest enemies of the Gospel. Often they will deny that the Bible can be taken at face value. Often they will deny that Jesus Christ is the only way into Heaven (see John 3). The newest trend is to deny the absolute infallibility of the Bible, and sometimes to affirm other alleged 'Holy Books' as being on the same level as the Bible. These people are wolves in sheeps clothing, and there is, and should NEVER be, any dancing around this fact in our minds. Even though we should not accept these people as "brothers" or "sisters", because in reality they are not; there is a way to help destroy the deceptions that the Devil has created in their minds.


Why are these people so against Biblical Authority? In almost every single instance, Evolution and Long Ages are the Baals holding them back.


There are loopholes in the thinking of these people. They generally truly believe themselves to be Christians, and are very much deceived. Because people in this situation are generally lost, jumping down their throats or trying to reason with them, may not have any effect.


I recommend the following resources for witnessing to people in this area;


Buy or download and audio Bible for them: Studies have been done that show that people can be involved in all kinds of gimmicky church activities, and it will not help their spiritual growth one bit. These same studies have shown that the one thing that best helps people to grow in their spirituality is reading and reflecting on The Word of God. Give them a copy of God of Wonders, or A Question of Origins: Like I said, often Christians fall for the cult of "Liberal Christianity" (and oxymoron), because they have been deceived into believing that you cannot really trust the Word of God.

At the end of the day, the number one thing to do for Liberal Christians is to keep them in prayer. Do NOT be unequally yoked with them. Do NOT accept them into ministry. These ARE WOLVES, and that can never be downplayed in our minds. (Be tactful though.) Also, be careful not to caste your pearls before swine.
