* Islam –
(The information here on the Cusades may also be of assistance. Just scroll down to the appropriate section.)
Islam is a very interesting religion in it's own right. It has it's own culture and own traditions that are very interesting to study. Due to many social and political factors that are especially relevant in the 21st Century, more people are wanting to learn more about Islam. Is it really a peaceful religion? What about the Qur'an? Do Muslims believe in the same God as the Christians?
The one key point that I hear constantly emphasized by Christ-followers that have come out of Islam is that in Islam their is no assurance of salvation. Even the Prophet Muhammed was unsure of his salvation (citation coming soon). Christians saved out of Islam always recommend emphasizing that you can be 100% assured of your salvation in Christ if you have repented of your sins, and sincerely asked Jesus Christ into your heart.
The most important things to remember are to be in prayer, and devoting time to God everyday where we pray and read the Scriptures. Without the Holy Spirit alive in us, then there is no point in witnessing.

I highly recommend these resources on Islam. I am still in the process of consolidating these links and transferring them to more permanent homes on this website, but these are highly recommended resources, even if they happen to be a little disorganized at the moment.

A lot of people often ask where in the Bible Jesus ever actually claims to be God. This is especially true of 21st Century secular Westerners, as well as Muslims. Interestingly, while Jesus did not use the sentence "I am God" what He did attribute attributes to Himself that are reserved only for God. This included making reference to the Great "I AM" of the book of Exodus, and claiming that He was one and the same being. Jesus also accepted worship, and claimed to personally forgive sins in a way that only God had the authority to do.
There are many other attributes that Jesus ascribes to Himself in the Gospels that only make sense in the context of someone claiming to be the personal incarnation of the God of the Old Testament in human form.
This next part is completely copy/pasted. I was unable to ask the person’s permission, because it was in a comment in a blog that I am not familiar with, and I could not get a hold of any contact info. These are NOT quotes, but they reference where Jesus claims to be God very well.
Psalms 110:1 (Old Testament) - the angels worship the Lord God.Hebrews 1:6 (New Testament) - the angels worship Jesus Christ.
Only God is worshiped.
Matt. 2:2,11 - the magi who came to see the newborn Jesus came to worship Him.
Matt. 8:2 - a leper came to Jesus and worshiped Him without rebuke.
Luke 24:52 - as Jesus ascended into heaven, the apostles worshiped Him.
John 9:38 - the blind man who was cured by Jesus worshiped Him.
Matt. 14:33 - the apostles who were in the boat worshiped Jesus without rebuke.
Matt. 28:9 - Jesus' disciples took His feet and worshiped Him without rebuke.
Matt. 28:17 - Jesus' disciples saw Him and then worshiped Him.
Mark 5:6 - the man with the unclean spirit ran to Jesus and worshiped Him.
John 20:28 - Jesus accepts Thomas' statement
"My Lord and my God!"
Literally, "the Lord of me and the God of me!"
(in Greek, "Ho Kurios mou kai ho Theos mou").
Witchcraft/ the Occult
I highly recommend reading about the occult before using the information to witness to those in the occult. It is important to understand what is going on in the world, especially with something as pervasive and powerful as the Occult. Magic is not something that we should be playing around with, or something that we should be naive about.
When it comes to witnessing to people who are involved in the occult, telling them how evil and dangerous witchcraft is will probably not be the most efficient way of doing things. Instead it is important to love on them, and really get to know them as a person, and not to shove anything down their throat, even if it is the Truth. Witchcraft is very attractive to those who are Nature Lovers.
I have a friend, "Sarah" who I love very much who practices Wicca, but who loves to read the Bible. God really blessed me one day. I prayed that I would be able to get Sarah a good Bible. Around Christmas time, I searched online for a brand new study Bible for myself. I decided that I wanted to spend a certain amount of money on a Bible, and that I wanted an NASB, and for the Bible to be good for Apologetics, and later decided that I wanted a MacArthur. I found an NASB MacArthur for less than half of what I was planning on spending online, so I bought two; one for myself and one for my friend. So, I came across Sarah on campus one day and told her that I had gotten her a Christmas present. She came back to my club office (college club) with me and I showed her the Bible that I had bought myself for Christmas. She explained that that would have been perfect for her growing up, because she had a $1.00 KJV that she had gotten from the dollar store. She went on to tell me that she had read through the Bible 12 times, but that she did not understand it and wished she had someone to explain it to her. She said that the Bible I had bought myself would have been perfect for her growing up. I then decided to get out her Christmas present, a Bible just like the one I had bought for myself. When she saw it, she lit up like no one I had ever seen in my life. I had never seen anyone so happy for anything in my entire life. She hugged me many times in the few minutes to follow and told me that she would be reading it. It is ironic that she has grown up around so many Christians, and many of them have been hard on her for many things, but at the end of the day all she really wanted was a decent study Bible. Even though I have used a pseudonym here "Sarah", please pray for her salvation, and for God's power in her life. God knows who it is.
Loving on people is the most important thing of all. Gentleness and respect are key to witnessing to someone involved in the Occult.
I also had a time where I went "ghost hunting" with a group of people (I prayed a lot before, and during the ghost hunt - we saw very little). One of the people there was a Wicca practicer. The fireflies were really out that night, and I was able to tell her a lot about the firefly, and about the caring God who had made them - Creation is perfect for people looking for the supernatural, because they are not opposed to their being a Creator God, and are often looking for Him. In my opinion, people are often looking for evidence of the Supernatural, because they want there to be a God. Showing people evidence that God Created the World, and that Evolution is false may be the very best thing to bring people to Christ. (Don't be surprised, however, if you run into someone vehemently opposed to "religion".)
Again, God provided the fireflies that night so that I could use them as a witnessing tool to tell this girl about God. I did not have to jump down her throat, and I did not have to bash her with scripture. I just let God do most of the talking, by showing her the firefly that God had made.
I could not find the exact video that I got my firefly information from, however the video below would be perfect for anyone who is into wicca, paganism, or any religion that places a high value on nature:
(It is available in the Online Store)
There is a section in the "Witnessing Tools" tab for people who are Nature Lovers, this would be perfect for many in the occult, especially Wiccans. There are also sections for various Bible Resources.
Be careful, because this is a war with the Army of Darkness. Magic is
not a cheap little game that people play, or a hobby. There are very
powerful demons involved in this, and they are not playing around.
Prayer is needed at all times.
